WE ARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Addressing climate change alone would be an impossible task. Everything must be done together as a community and as citizens of this Earth. Reforestation, protecting endangered species, recycling, and green infrastructure; these are just the few actions that SubSaharan will be taking part in.

Climate change is happening in every single corner of the globe. The rising in temperatures are adding to environmental degradation, extreme weather, economic disruption, terrorism, sea level rising, the Arctic melting, dying coral reefs, the list is endless.

Now is the time to take action by finding new technologies and nature-based solutions. SubSaharan will create climate change targets and principles, and place the fight against climate change at the top of its list of priorities.

RESPECTING NATURE

It is becoming increasingly critical to protect biodiversity, strengthen air quality, preserve water availability and quality, and  manage our resources more efficiently. Deforestation needs to be halted and biodiversity needs to be prioritized.

The cornerstone of the green recovery must be respect for nature. SubSaharan works to make sure companies are reducing waste from their operations and increasing the recycling of plastics around the world.

HOW ARE YOU IMPACTED BY CLIMATE CHANGE

Global warming impacts everyone's food and water security. The amount of carbon that the earth can hold in its soil is limited due to climate change, which is a direct cause of soil degradation. Today, up to 30% of food is lost or wasted while over 450 million people live in locations that are affected by erosion.

Extreme climate and weather are becoming more frequent and intense as our climate warms. From heatwaves and droughts, to hurricanes and typhoons that are wreaking havoc around the world. According to the United Nations, the disasters occurring are amounting to damages of over $520 billion each year as well as over 30 million people being displaced and pushed into poverty.
